In England, the soccer league Barclay's Premier league has started a multi-billion enterprise. Soccer clubs are getting paid way more than they have been getting in years just from fans."The average price of the cheapest tickets across English football has risen at nearly twice the rate of the cost of living since 2011" says Josh Warwick. Tickets are over 2,000 pounds now just to watch your favorite team in live action. I believe this has to do with population. The population is growing and all these people are getting addicted to action of the soccer clubs in the most popular league ever. People all over the world are probably coming just to watch a game of there favorite team playing. People don't care how much though and they just spend to support there club. This is similar and a lot like Americans supporting there football teams. This connects to history with over population and math with all the money and investments. If i were really rich, now would be a good time to invest your money on a winning club!
"The Rising Price of Football: The Truth Is Fans Just Don’t Care." The Telegraph. Telegraph Media Group, 15 Oct. 2014. Web. 19 Oct. 2014. <http:/ /www.telegraph .co.uk/men/thinking-man /11164423/The-rising-price-of-football-the-truth-is-fans-just-dont-care .html>.
I didn't think that the price of soccer had risen up that much. I knew that it would definitely rise when the World Cup was going on, but I thought it would go down in price after that. Population, as you said, probably does affect it because of the amount of people who are willing to go to the games from around the globe. The ticket vendors take advantage of this by raising the prices and using the money to fund their own wants ands needs.
